Beach Sand Replenishment Is Paused on Weekends as Fletcher Cove & Cardiff State Beach Work Ends in June.

Heading to the beach this early summer? Fletcher Cove in Solana Beach and Cardiff State Beaches are wider, sandier, and ready for you. We want you to know that the current beach sand replenishment program will no longer occur on weekends.

This week, native sands from San Elijo Lagoon will continue to be pumped onto Fletcher Cove Beach. These are beach quality sands that are widening our local beaches while San Elijo Lagoon Restoration is underway.

Beginning next week, crews will redirect the sand replenishment back to Cardiff State Beach Beach. Both sand replenishment projects will be completed before end of June.

Enjoy your restored beach! Have fun outdoors with your family and friends. Thank you for following Lagoon Connections.
